Job summary

Ironmark in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a Mailing Machine Operator to run inkjet printers, inserters, folding machines, and tabs, ensuring mail is addressed, sorted, processed, and prepared for shipment in compliance with USPS and international rules.

You will work with the Mailing Services Manager and team, perform maintenance, monitor quality, and support on-time production. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred; detail-oriented and able to overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of mail processing or related industry experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and team-oriented.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to operate and troubleshoot mailing equipment.
• Experience with inkjet, tabbing and inserting software is a plus.
• Familiarity with USPS, international mail requirements is a plus.
• Proficient with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate inkjet equipment.
• Set up and operate mechanical tabbing equipment.
• Set up and operate envelope inserting equipment.
• Sort mail per USPS regulations for bulk mail entry.
• Operate machines that seal envelopes and apply postage.
• Monitor machine operation for accuracy and quality.
• Collate and assemble non-machinable mailing packages.
• Review postal paperwork and tickets for production specs.
• Presort and tray mail per USPS specs.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on mailing machines.
• Identify and resolve processing issues.
• Collaborate with team to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
• Work with mailing department to perform quality checks.
• Ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
