Job summary

TBT GROUP INC in Bellmawr, NJ is hiring a Machinist (Set-up) to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses on setting up and operating CNC machines, grinders and lathes to produce ceramic components in a fast-paced environment.

You will read engineering drawings, interpret specifications, adjust tooling and parameters, and perform in-process inspections to ensure conformance to design. PPE is provided and shift differential applies.

Qualifications

• Experience as Machinist (Set-up) or with similar industrial press machinery is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with powder metallurgy or compaction processes is a plus.
• Ability to read technical specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, precision grinders, lathes, milling machines and related equipment to manufacture ceramic components.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Perform precision machining, grinding, lapping, polishing, drilling and finishing on ceramic materials.
• Select and install cutting tools, grinding wheels, fixtures and work holding devices for operations.
• Adjust machine settings, tooling, speeds, feeds and other parameters.
• Measure and inspect components with micrometers, calipers and gauges to ensure tolerances.
• Report defects and nonconformities and maintain quality records.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety standards.
