Job summary

Acuren is seeking a Machinist to support operations at our Richburg, SC location. The role involves operating both manual and CNC machinery, including surface grinders, lathes, CNC milling, and band saws.

You will work in a team to ensure high-quality test specimens are machined to exact specifications. The ideal candidate has at least two years of manual machining experience, basic machinery operation knowledge, and the ability to work safely in a busy shop.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of proven manual machining experience.
• Knowledge of general machinery operation and measurement tools.
• CNC experience is a plus but not required; ability to work with CNC and manual machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
• Deburr and mark machined specimens to specification and tolerances.
• Inspect specimens and adjust tools to maintain required tolerances.
• Maintain proper material handling and traceability of remnants.
• Work safely around moving equipment and communicate hazards to supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop floor daily.
