Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. operates a state-of-the-art beverage can plant in Mesquite, NV, seeking a Maintenance Planner to collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Plant Engineer.

You will plan upcoming maintenance activities, interpret blueprints, and ensure precision in tool setup and machine adjustments. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, safety-first attitude, and the ability to work under time pressures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade-school certification is a plus.
• Minimum five years of journeyman machinist experience preferred.
• Experience with conventional machining of large parts and balancing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely plan and execute maintenance tasks on high-speed manufacturing equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions.
• Machine parts to specifications using lathes, mills, shapers or grinders.
• Set up tooling and fixtures and select appropriate equipment for jobs.
• Maintain tool integrity and ensure preventive maintenance is followed.
• Work with team to meet production deadlines under time pressures.
