Job summary

Entegris in Decatur, TX is seeking a Machinist I to perform tasks related to machining graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials. You will operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment, following detailed blueprints and customer specifications to produce high-quality parts.

The role requires precision measurement, strong attention to detail, and adherence to ISO 9000/14000 quality and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Read and interpret detailed blueprints and customer specifications.
Demonstrate precision measurement and mathematical skills.
Show advanced knowledge of machining methods and processes.
Maintain high safety and quality standards in ISO environments.
Be able to work across shifts to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

Work is job oriented, following detailed blueprints, customer specifications, and internal work instructions.
Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers (desktop and machine control varieties).
Operate powered machine tools such as vertical CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipment.
Perform machine setups and/or operate equipment that is setup by more skilled operators.
Complete machining tasks within a customer job.
Routinely perform initial setup on new parts.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to produce high-quality products.
May be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.
