Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Packaging seeks an experienced Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machinery to produce precision components.

You will ensure parts meet tight tolerances, select tooling and speeds, inspect with calipers and micrometers, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams.

A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates; overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of machinist experience OR certificate/degree in Machine Tool Technology with 2+ years machinist experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machinery to produce precision components.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges and other precision instruments.
• Plan tooling, speeds, and feeds; optimize machining processes.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve issues and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area; perform routine machine maintenance.
