Mohawk Lifts, LLC is seeking a Machinist in Amsterdam, NY. The role requires operating a range of machine shop equipment including presses, CNC tools, plasma cutting, and hydraulic cylinder assembly to fabricate, drill, and bend parts for production.

You will read prints, measure with gauges, and perform tool changes, while maintaining safety and quality standards. Experience in metal fabrication and crane/forklift operation is preferred; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operating grinders, lathes and milling machines.
• Math skills to take precise measurements and calculations.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for manufacturing plans.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce accidents.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Five (5) years experience in a machine shop environment.
• Prior Forklift and/or Crane Operator experience.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate equipment in the Machine Shop.
• Read prints to ensure hole location, size, and type.
• Operate drill presses and tooling setups.
• Lift and transport work pieces manually or with a hoist.
• Verify conformance with gauges, calipers and micrometers.
• Change worn tooling and maintain tools.
• Assemble and test hydraulic cylinders from components.
• Rebuild and test remanufactured cylinders.
• Perform safety inspections and maintain cleanliness.
