Stellant Systems, Inc. in Williamsport, PA is seeking a Machinist 2nd Shift to set up and operate a limited set of standard machine tools.

You will read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments to determine feed speeds for precision machining of a variety of components. Under general supervision, you will follow safety protocols, perform setup with supervision, maintain equipment, and keep the work area clean.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
2–4 years relevant machining experience.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic math.
Familiarity with precision measuring tools.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Responsabilités

Set up and operate a limited number of standard machine tools.
Work from prints using hand and precision measuring instruments.
Determine machine feed speeds to perform precision machining operations on components.
Follow shop safety protocols and regulations.
Perform raw stock order filling using band saws, cut-off tools, and hand tools.
Maintain cutting equipment by changing wheels and blades as needed.
Perform deburring and other finishing tasks as required.
Perform duties with supervision for simple setups.
Communicate operation irregularities to supervisor.
Keep the work area and tools clean and orderly daily.
