Job summary

Batesville Tool & Die, Inc. in Batesville, Indiana, is seeking a skilled machinist to operate CNC and manual machines, inspect parts, and support assembly tasks.

Reports to the Machining Supervisor/Manager; must read routing sheets, maintain tolerances, and document production; overtime may be required; safety and lean practices apply.

Experience with CAD/Visi/CAD MAX and ordinary tools is valuable; GED/HSE required; position is on-site with potential training.

Qualifications

• GED or HSE required; vocational training is a plus.
• Mechanically inclined with a positive attitude.
• Able to read routing sheets and work to tolerances.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Machine components to tolerances by deadlines.
• Inspect parts using precision tools to ensure quality.
• Fill out production documentation accurately.
• Follow routing sheets from receiving to final storage.
• Set up and operate CNC machines and manual equipment.
• Use CAD/Visi/CAD MAX tools for layouts.
• Assist training of associates.
