Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify adherence to blueprints and workmanship through visual inspection and precision measurements.
• Create complex layouts on a surface plate and perform close-tolerance checks.
• Inspect parts made from steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, etc., including various castings and forgings.
• Determine inspection procedures for new parts and suggest improvements.
• Assign duties to junior inspectors and review their work for accuracy.
• May inspect vendor-made parts and assemblies after verification to specifications.
