Job summary

Groupe SEB seeks a skilled Machine Setup Operator to configure and operate complex fabrication equipment for stainless steel sheet metal parts, with a focus on precision and safety. The role involves setting up lean cell machines, loading sheets, and ensuring conformance to specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience with metalworking equipment and adhere to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, while supporting senior operators in daily production tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience operating fabrication equipment in metalworking environments.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and stay in a standing position.
• Knowledge of machine safety and lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in all machines on the lean cells on the production lines.
• Adjusts machine settings to operate machinery per procedures.
• Fitting, setting, and loading of metal sheets into the machine.
• May use power tools to grind or deburr sheet metal.
• Identify and report safety hazards in the workplace.
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Rules.
• Understand machine safety, operation & Lock out tagout.
• Observe machine operation and verify conformance to specifications using gauges and calipers.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations.
