Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated is seeking a Machine Operator in Santa Ana, CA to support its manufacturing operations. You will work with speed lathes, honing, and CNC lathes, performing assembly and bench operations while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 0–3 years of factory experience, with a pay range of $20–$22 per hour. The position is indoors with moderate to loud noise and requires adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of factory-related experience.
• Training in safety, electrostatic discharge awareness, foreign object damage awareness and quality system awareness.

Responsibilities

• For speed lathes, perform trim and deburr using hand tools.
• For assembly, install bearings into a housing using dedicated tools and fixtures.
• For hone, operate the hone machine to size the inner diameter of the part.
• For CNC lathes, perform load/unload operations and check size coming off the machine.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.
• Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, swaging and all bench operations and inspection.
• Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
