Job summary

Columbus McKinnon in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a machine operator to set up and run the simpler machines in Department 44, including assembly, drilling, tapping, grinding, painting and handwork.

You will perform and document quality checks, adjust coolant concentrations and tooling, wear required PPE, and complete required forms. The role requires reading drawings, interpreting work orders, and troubleshooting minor issues.

Qualifications

• Experience reading manufacturing prints and work orders.
• Training in ABC print and measurement techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely.
• Experience setting up equipment and running products.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines in Department 44 (hand tools, paint line, tap and thread) as required.
• Perform and document all quality checks on any machine in the department.
• Check, record, and adjust coolant concentrations and change or replace tooling.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for assigned machines.
• Ability to complete forms as required by work center.
• Perform any other duties as required.
