Job summary

BW Papersystems is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler / Machine Builder to construct custom box‑making machines from detailed drawings and components. You will work at our Baltimore area facility, reading blueprints and assembling sections with precision in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements include 2+ years in mechanical assembly, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to use hand/power tools and precision instruments to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of mechanical assembly, machine building, or related mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Plan assembly tasks in the proper sequence and assemble sections of machinery.
• Perform precision mechanical assembly involving rotating shafts, gear trains, sprockets, and mechanical structures.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble components accurately.
• Use precision measuring instruments to align and verify accuracy to tight tolerances.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and document quality and production information.
