Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Machine Builder for a permanent, on-site role in Twinsburg, OH. You will build custom capital equipment from ground up, assembling mechanical subassemblies, integrating pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and installing electrical components per schematics. This is a fully onsite position with competitive pay and benefits.

The role emphasizes precise assembly, testing, and safe operation, using a range of tools and measurement devices to meet customer specs and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, plan, and complete mechanical subassembly work on frames and weldments.
• Mount bearings, pneumatic components, and drive systems with high accuracy for close tolerances.
• Install electrical components into panels and enclosures per drawings and schematics.
• Interpret pneumatic/hydraulic schematics to locate and place assemblies and parts.
• Determine optimal placement for function, serviceability, and specs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues during build/testing.
• Use hand and power tools, drills, conduit benders, and measuring devices for assembly and verification.
• Drill and tap holes to support mounting and alignment of components.
• Work safely with electrical systems in the 220–480 V range during build and test.
• Test finished machines to verify operation and safety compliance.
• Interpret complex wiring diagrams to correctly connect machine systems.
• Handle and move components up to 30 pounds as part of daily tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
