Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Lumber Saw Operator in Martha, TN to read work orders and set up machines for required cuts. You will adjust saws, control feed speeds, and manage lumber through the feeding system while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include stacking finished lumber, reporting dull blades, and performing additional tasks as needed to support production. Applicants should be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent preferred; on-the-job training available.
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret measurements (1/16 inch).
• Safe, reliable worker with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Reviews work order to determine cut(s) to be made.
• Adjusts saw for required cuts.
• Adjusts speed of saw and feed rolls.
• Observes automatic feeding of lumber to saw or pushes end of lumber into feed rolls.
• Stacks cut lumber after processing.
• Advises supervisor of dull saw blades.
• Other duties as assigned
