Job summary

SHOTTENKIRK AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, INC is seeking a Quick Lube Service Technician in Waukee, Iowa. This role will involve basic vehicle maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, and inspecting belts and filters. The right candidate will have strong communication skills and a knowledge of automobiles.

Key responsibilities include testing vehicle systems, maintaining efficiency in diagnosing issues, and using various tools for repairs. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and ideally, an ASE certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in service department.
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Test to check systems and components are secure.
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem.
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing vehicles.
• Repair or replace worn parts before breakdown.
• Use power tools and common hand tools to perform tasks.

Skills

Ability to identify the problem quickly

Education
