Job summary

Engineered Cabs in Greeneville, TN, is hiring a Laser Cutter Operator. You will set up and operate laser equipment to cut sheet and plate steel to blueprint specifications, performing routine maintenance and adhering to safety procedures.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, loading programs, inspecting parts with calipers and gauges, recording SPC data, and moving finished material to storage. High school diploma required; basic math and reading skills and ability to stand long shifts

Qualifications

• Basic math & reading skills required.
• Good problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to stand/walk for shift duration.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser to cut sheet/plate steel per blueprints.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance: clean machine, check oil/water, replace electrodes/nozzles as needed.
• Load and recall programs; begin cutting; inspect first part with calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Move finished parts to pallet or scrap areas; document work orders and material traceability.
• Complete SPC paperwork and ensure parts meet tolerances; assist with part flow between stages.
