Job summary

Resource Label Group in Plano, TX is seeking a Finishing Operator to run high-speed finishing equipment, slit, seam, inspect, cut and rewind printed labels and flexible packaging. You will be the final quality check before delivery, ensuring color, size, layflat, and packaging accuracy.

This role requires versatility and attention to detail, with rotation across finishing processes and the ability to read job specifications.

Qualifications

• Detect seam misalignment at high speed.
• Rotate tasks daily across finishing processes.
• Set up changes and adjust machinery as needed.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Read rulers/calipers; basic math & measurement.
• Printing/packaging experience preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

• Read job specs/jackets to meet finishing, seaming, packaging, shipping specs.
• Operate finishing equipment (slitter-rewinders, inspection, seaming).
• Monitor material flow for defects in cutting and winding.
• Set up solvent systems; perform bond-strength/layflat checks.
• Ensure color, size, layflat, perforations, print accuracy.
• Use inspection systems to identify/remove defects.
• Replace blades/guides/tools; assist in cutting and packaging.
• Complete production paperwork and label finished goods.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
