A major manufacturing company in Youngstown, Ohio, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to perform inspections on gauges and couplings, coordinate calibrations, and maintain quality standards in alignment with company and national requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in an inspection environment, strong mathematical and analytical skills, and the ability to operate measurement devices. This role requires lifting capabilities and may involve occasional travel between locations for calibrations.
Qualifications
Experience working in a lab or inspection environment preferred.
Strong ability utilizing measurement devices such as micrometers and calipers.
Ability to use calculator, computer, copier, and fax machine.
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Responsibilities
Perform inspections on new gauges, couplings, and thread protectors.
Coordinate calibrations and minor repairs to all company gauges.
Enter and coordinate gauge calibration into the tracking system.
Monitor controlled conditions of the Gauge Labs and maintain records.
Conduct Non-Conformance incident investigations and audits.
Assist during customer, ISO, and API audits as needed.
