Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. is seeking an experienced quality inspector for our Tempe manufacturing floor. You will verify parts using precision instruments, operate CMM equipment, and determine conformance to drawings and specifications.

In this role, you will document results, liaise with supervision on non-conformances, and maintain quality records. The position requires reading blueprints, basic math, and flexibility to work overtime as needed in a safety-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3-1 years in inspection or specialized knowledge.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic-intermediate math.
• Ability to perform moderate-complex inspection.
• Ability to use a wide variety of inspection equipment.
• Capable of operating CMM on moderate-complex product builds.
• Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities.
• Multi-skilled and/or possess specialized knowledge.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to identify assembly non-conformance and perform corrections.
• Effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to respond to written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Obtain and renew certifications on assigned equipment and be willing to cross-train in other areas.
• Participate in a continuous improvement activity.

Responsibilities

• Inspect first-piece, in-process and final parts using precision instruments.
• Operate CMM to perform inspection procedures and document results.
• Determine acceptance or rejection based on drawings and specs.
• Notify supervision of non-conforming products and coordinate corrections.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with quality procedures.
• Support multiple work stations to meet production needs.
• Assist with safeguarding and maintaining tools/equipment.
