Job summary

BD is seeking an Inspection Technician to perform protocol-directed inspection work for validation activities, engineering studies, and production inspections. You will prepare equipment, record data, and escalate deviations to the Quality Engineer while maintaining traceability and organized inspection packets.

The role requires following approved plans, ensuring calibration status, and coordinating with QA and production to meet study schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow approved protocols and inspection plans.
• Record raw data accurately in controlled records without altering acceptance criteria.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple inspection packets.

Responsibilities

• Execute dimensional, visual, functional inspections per protocol or plan.
• Review protocol to confirm sample quantities, criteria, and data-forms.
• Prepare and maintain samples and traceability for validation or inspections.
• Ensure inspection equipment and references are within calibration status.
• Set up and operate measurement equipment per instructions.
• Record data contemporaneously and without interpretation of criteria.
• Escalate deviations or issues to Quality Engineer per protocol.
• Assemble complete inspection packets for technical review.
• Maintain organized inspection area and tools for in-progress work.
• Coordinate inspection work sequencing to align with study schedules.
• Support measurement-system studies and related tasks as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Engineer.
