Job summary

Halpin Staffing Services is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for our client, a plastic injection molder and contract manufacturer. The role focuses on operating injection molding machines, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production.

Responsibilities include loading mold inserts, inspecting parts for defects, assembling and packaging, using hand tools, trimming components, and maintaining records. Candidates should have a high school diploma and good communication skills; lifting up to 35

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and communicate with diverse personnel.
• Ability to work extended hours and shifts as business needs dictate.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with focus on safety, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Operate Plastic Injection Molding machines at set cycle times while meeting safety, quality and delivery objectives.
• Load/unload heated mold inserts, ensure proper orientation and seating from run to run.
• Inspect parts for defects (sinks, short shots, splay, flash, dings, burning) and maintain quality.
• Package parts and maintain required paperwork and records.
• Operate small hand tools (side cutters, wrenches) and trimming fixtures to finish components.
• Operate automated assembly machines in parallel with molding cycle.
• Assist in maintaining workflow and sustain housekeeping standards.
• Follow PPE and site safety initiatives; report safety concerns to management.
