Job summary

Air Systems Engineering, Inc. in Tacoma is seeking an HVAC Shop Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our skilled team.

You will fabricate and assemble ductwork and HVAC components to support commercial projects, operating sheet metal equipment and ensuring quality control in a safety-focused environment. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work overtime, weekends, or night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience in the construction industry.
• Commitment to safe work practices and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment and tools.
• Fabricate ductwork, fittings, and specialty materials.
• Install dampers, turning vanes, vane rail, and sound liner.
• Assemble ward flange systems and corners into finished products.
• Fabricate shop stock including cleats, angles, flashing, straps, and curb materials.
• Maintain quality control standards on fabricated materials.
• Monitor shop inventory and report material needs.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and shop housekeeping.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
