Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking a shop-based duct fabricator to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and related components for new construction, renovations, and residential projects. You will work with blueprints, use CNC machines, plasma cutters, and other heavy tools to produce airtight ducts to spec.

Ideal candidates have HVAC fabrication experience, strong math skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC tech certification/apprenticeship preferred.
• Strong fabrication experience, specifically in metal and HVAC components.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specs to determine efficient fabrication.
• Operate heavy shop tools (shears, brakes, plasma cutters, CNC machines).
• Create elbows, transitions, dampers, and offsets.
• Join seams with welds, rivets, bolts, and sealants for airtight ducts.
• Ensure dimensions, fit, and build standards meet requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and trades for coordinated execution.
• Maintain safe work environment and compliance with codes.
