Job summary

Interstate Air Conditioning & Heating is hiring a Sheet Metal Fabricator in Union, NJ. You will fabricate and assemble HVAC ductwork, select gauges per specs, and operate metalworking machines to cut, form, and finish parts. The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 70 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities include drilling, riveting, welding, and insulating ductwork, with emphasis on safety and quality in a fast-paced shop environment. Experience 1–3 years preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Able to stand for the duration of the day to perform fabrication tasks.
• Occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Select gauges and types of sheet metal according to product specs.
• Operate machines to cut, shape, and form sheet metal (roller, plasma cutter, punch press).
• Drill and punch holes in metal for components.
