Timken is seeking a Machinist to operate grinding and turning equipment in a union shop environment. You will follow drawings, set up machines, maintain tools, and ensure parts meet tolerances and quality standards. The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to interpret prints, and willingness to work overtime and any shift.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age (implied minimum).
• Ability to use shop mathematics and interpret prints.
• Capable of planning and performing difficult work.
• Willingness to work overtime and any shift.
• Must be able to operate grinding/turning machines and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Procure and use gauges to meet customer drawings and quality specs.
• Produce parts to routings and hourly targets.
• Lubricate and maintain grinding/turning machines; wheel dressing and setup.
• Load/unload parts; select setup materials; synchronize operations.
• Interpret drawings, set feeds/speeds, and maintain tooling and inserts.
• Maintain equipment, clean workspace, and report time and production.
