Job summary

Leroy Springs & Company Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair golf course equipment such as mowers and tractors. The role requires performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, and ensuring safe operation of heavy and light machines in varying shifts.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, and a valid SC driver's license, with willingness to train on CPR/First Aid and related safety certifications.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED supplemented by three years’ mechanical maintenance experience; mechanics diploma preferred.
  • Valid SC Driver’s license and ability to operate a variety of maintenance equipment.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training; will train.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects, troubleshoots, maintains and repairs golf course maintenance equipment (mowers/tractors, rollers, etc.).
  • Repairs and adjusts engines and cutting mechanisms on equipment; grind reels and set tolerances.
  • Maintains preventative maintenance schedule (oil, grease, air, fuel, etc.).
  • Assists in parts inventory and keeps workshop clean; orders supplies as needed.
  • Prepares routine reports and records of maintenance equipment.
  • Operates a wide range of tools and equipment and maintains a safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
