Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years related experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to listen to customers.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, tools and repair processes.
• Ability to follow processes and ensure quality and safety.
• Ability to use technical manuals and reference materials.
• Ability to explain technical terms to non-technical customers.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform repairs on vehicle components per dealership standards.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and test to determine required repairs.
• Accurately diagnose malfunctions including engines, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure safety and quality by test driving and rechecking repairs.
• Keep customer vehicles clean during the repair process.
• Communicate with Service Advisor/Dispatcher for additional work.
• Assist in writing work orders and taking test rides when needed.
• Maintain inventory and keep workspace organized.
• Document all work performed on repair orders per procedures.
