Job summary

Imperial Industries is seeking a skilled fabricator for first shift to produce parts for industrial silos and tanks. You will read blueprints, set up shear, punch press, brake press and saw, and inspect parts for defects with precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, maintaining machinery, and ensuring quality workmanship in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to read gauges, tape measure, and other measurement tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with brake press, shear, punch press, and saw preferred.
• Good attention to detail and ability to read blueprints.
• Solid verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Set up shear, punch press, brake press and saw to produce materials according to specifications and schedules.
• Safely operate equipment including material handling equipment and overhead cranes.
• Maintain and repair machinery and perform daily housekeeping.
• Follow and enforce safety regulations such as gloves, protective eyewear, and safety shoes.
• Monitor machinery equipment for signs of wear or malfunction.
• Perform all other duties assigned.
