Job summary

80/20 is seeking an Extrusion Operator to perform saw, milling, CNC operations and related tasks to cut raw material per order specifications. You will ensure quality by inspecting materials and following setup procedures, while using tracking software to move orders through production.

The role requires basic to advanced math, ability to read blueprints, and the stamina to lift up to 40 lbs over an 10-hour shift. Training and cross-training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic to advanced math skills for measurements and conversions.
• Desire to participate in cross training and growth opportunities.
• Problem solving, multitasking and initiative encouraged.
• Effective communication of problems and needs; positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Follow start up procedures at shift start.
• Process orders using tracking software and move orders to next workstation.
• Operate cutting, milling, drilling, tapping, finishing, and deburring machines.
• Read a tape measure and calipers and perform calculations for orders.
• Quality control all cut materials to meet 80/20 standards.
• Manage re-cut parts and assist with production needs during shifts.
• Participate in meetings and provide improvement ideas.
• Provide daily feedback to staff as appropriate.
• Complete shutdown and cleanup procedures at shift end.
• Washing bars during training and as needed to aid production.
• Navigate software applications to complete orders timely.
• Collaborate with team to resolve extrusion processing issues.
• Other duties as required.
