Job summary

ACT Entertainment in Leominster, MA is seeking an Extrusion Operator to set up, run, and fine-tune extrusion machines that shape thermoplastic over the cabled core. You will monitor quality, speed, and safety on every shift.

You’ll perform routine maintenance, keep a clean work area, record production data, and participate in training to master the process and contribute to on-time delivery of products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus 1-3 months of related experience and/or training.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Prior hands-on or on-the-job experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting instincts.
• Comfort working as part of a team, as well as tackling independent projects.
• Good communication skills and patience.
• Flexibility to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, and fine-tune extrusion machines to exact specifications on shop paperwork.
• Perform routine maintenance on the extrusion machine and keep area clean and organized.
• Monitor the extrusion process and make real-time adjustments for quality and output efficiency.
• Conduct start-of-shift and ongoing quality checks.
• Maintain accurate production records of counts, settings, and maintenance activity.
• Follow all safety guidelines and participate in training.
