Job summary

Acme Brick Company seeks a Machine Operator to run brick-mixing equipment and support production in a safety-conscious environment. You will ensure batches are prepared correctly and operate tools and meters as needed.

The role requires experience in manufacturing, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strict adherence to PPE and lock-out/tag-out procedures in confined spaces as necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related training.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operates machine that mixes material according to formula to make brick/block.
• Gathers material as specified by work order; weighs materials; records batch cards.
• Transfers materials into machine for processing.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and handling equipment in performing duties.
• Assists in maintaining parts and supplies inventory.
• Follows all required work safe practices including lock-out tag-out requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas.
