Job summary

The Kistler Instrument Corporation in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Production Technician to assemble, test, calibrate, and inspect precision transducers in a fast-paced, ISO-controlled environment. You will follow detailed work instructions, operate soldering irons, microscopes, and other precision equipment, and collaborate with production staff to maintain quality and on-time delivery.

This role requires steady hands, strong attention to detail, and compliance with AS9100/ITAR; U.S.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with small parts and use a microscope for extended periods.
• Kistler is AS9100 certified and ITAR regulated; U.S. Person status is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test products in accordance with established work instructions and quality standards.
• Handle small, precision components using hand tools, soldering equipment, tweezers, and microscopes.
• Perform precision assembly processes, including soldering, mechanical fastening, and adhesive bonding.
• Operate manufacturing and testing equipment to support daily production and assembly activities.
• Conduct visual inspections, functional testing, and calibrations to verify product quality and performance.
• Set up and operate equipment used to assemble, test, and calibrate transducers, including welders, bead blasters, shakers, and oscilloscopes.
• Identify and communicate quality issues or equipment concerns to help maintain production standards and efficiency.
