Job summary

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, bills of material, and written procedures.
  • Hands‑on aptitude for electrical panel assembly, component installation, wire preparation, termination, labeling, and basic electrical testing.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, including installing applications, navigating folders, managing files, adjusting basic system settings, and configuring connected hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn unfamiliar software and follow detailed computer‑based setup, configuration, calibration, and testing procedures.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for electrical wiring, hardware, communications, and software configuration.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data entry, file management, and transfer of test results.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment, and production equipment safely and correctly.
  • Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble industrial electrical panels, back-panel assemblies, control units (ICUs), subassemblies, and complete systems from electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, bills of material, and written work instructions.
  • Mount electrical and mechanical components; prepare conductors; route, terminate, and label wires and cables; and complete point-to-point wiring in accordance with drawings and quality standards.
  • Inspect completed work and verify wiring, component placement, connections, labels, and workmanship against the applicable documentation.
  • Set up Windows-based computers and connected system hardware, including peripherals, network connections, communication devices, and required system settings.
  • Install and configure company software, device drivers, supporting applications, and approved Windows settings using documented procedures.
  • Learn and independently operate proprietary SpecMetrix Windows software used to configure, calibrate, test, and validate systems.
  • Perform system startup, functional checks, calibration activities, acceptance testing, final inspection, and repeatability studies in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Troubleshoot wiring, component, communication, computer, software-configuration, and system-performance issues; communicate findings clearly and elevate unresolved problems to engineering.
