Job summary

Safran Defense & Space, Inc. in Camarillo, CA, seeks an Integrated Dewar and Cooler Assembly Technician I to support fast-paced production of IDCAs.

You will follow documented procedures, perform basic assembly and inspection under supervision, and participate in dewar assembly training while maintaining strict cleanroom, FOD, and ESD standards. Qualifications

• : High School diploma or GED required.
• : 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, testing, or similar precision manufacturing environment.
• : Experience assembling and testing dynamic electro-mechanical systems (motors, actuators, or similar devices).
• : Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, alignment, and tolerance control.
• : Experience performing functional and performance testing, including data collection and analysis.
• : Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
• : Organized and methodical work style.
• : Willingness to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment).
• : Requires U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status.

Responsibilities

• Follow documented procedures and work instructions to assemble IDCAs
• Perform basic assembly, handling, and inspection tasks under supervision
• Participate in training for dewar assembly processes and related manufacturing procedures
• Conduct incoming inspection of components using standard measurement tools and equipment
• Maintain cleanroom standards, including adherence to FOD and ESD protocols
• Identify and report defects, nonconformances, and process issues to engineering or supervision
• Accurately document work performed and communicate results and observations
• Perform other duties as assigned
