Job summary

You’ll read blueprints, use measuring tools, and perform deburring, cleaning, and basic machine setup while following ISO procedures and safety rules. The role requires 3+ years of experience or training, or an equivalent combination, and a high school diploma; typical pay is $22–$25 per hour. Mon-Thurs 2:30pm-1:00am shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques.
• 3+ years experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficient in the use of measuring instruments is preferred.
• Use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
• Use belt sanders, abrasive charged wheels, fixtures, files, scrapers, solvents, and other hand tools.
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance regarding setup.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow safety regulations.
• Perform drilling, tumbling deburring, bench operations, and inspection of parts.
• Perform PM on machines as required per PM charts.
• Familiar with basic machine functions to perform tasks.
• Daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance on machinery.
• Assist in organization and maintenance of the machine shop environment.
• Provide feedback for process improvement.
• Comply with ISO requirements and safety procedures.
