Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced deburring technician to hand-finish production parts and ensure high-quality finishes. You will remove defects, select appropriate abrasive tools, and verify dimensions per blueprints, while adhering to EHS and PPE requirements.

Ideal candidates work independently, follow instructions precisely, and can meet physical demands. Prior experience with deburring and MRP software is valued, with opportunities to contribute to efficient manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of the deburring process.
• Knowledge of the MRP manufacturing software.
• Ability to complete work with little to no supervision.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to follow blueprints and work instructions.
• U.S. work authorization without company sponsorship.
• For applicable SELECT US positions, must be a U.S. Person under ITAR or eligible for U.S. Government export-license approval.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Hand-finish production parts independently by deburring and other methods.
• Remove excess metal and surface defects from hardware, material, and assembled parts before plating or shipping.
• Select abrasive belts or wheels based on grain size, specified finish, product, and amount of metal to remove.
• Attach wheels or belts to the drive mechanism.
• Operate equipment and manipulate workpieces against abrasive wheels, or portable wheels against workpieces.
• Examine parts for acceptable dimensions and finish.
• Follow blueprint and work instruction requirements.
• Comply with EHS policies, training, instructions, and PPE requirements.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous situations to management.
