Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Collision Body Technician to perform vehicle repairs per dealer and factory standards. You’ll work efficiently to complete repairs on time, communicating with estimators and parts staff to obtain required items, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for customers.

Role requires ICAR or OEM certification (preferred) and at least two years of automotive experience, with a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Qualifications

• ICAR certification or interest in becoming certified.
• OEM certification or interest in becoming certified.
• At least two years’ automotive experience.
• Must have a valid, in-state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate an automobile.

Responsibilities

• Performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicating with Estimators and Parts Associates to obtain necessary parts.
• Assessing vehicle condition to determine if additional safety or repair work is needed.
• Performing all body repairs according to the estimate.
• Performing welding, soldering, body alignment, and frame/unibody repairs.
• Operating all equipment in the Collision Center in a safe and productive manner, following safety standards.
• Inspecting all work performed as a Quality Control (QC) measure as soon as jobs are completed.
• Following federal, state, and local regulations affecting Collision Center operations.
