Job summary

APTURA Group seeks a CNC Door Operator to operate, program, and maintain CNC machinery for fabricating commercial and architectural doors. You will ensure precise machining of hardware preps, hinge pockets, lock cutouts, lite openings, and other door modifications per drawings and customer specs.

You will load and align doors on the CNC table, verify tooling and parameters, inspect finished products, and perform routine maintenance while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles.
• Experience reading hardware documentation, door schedules, and shop drawings.
• Ability to use measuring tools and maintain quality records.
• Basic computer skills for CNC interface operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC door machining centers to process wood or composite doors.
• Load, secure, and align doors on the CNC table for accurate machining.
• Input or adjust CNC programs for hinge preps, lock preps, lite kits, and custom hardware.
• Verify tooling, bit selection, and cutting parameters for each job.
• Inspect finished doors for accuracy and quality against specs.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain production records and quality documentation.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with leads, project managers, and hardware specialists to resolve questions.
