Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a CNC Turning Specialist to own Haas lathe setup and operation, translating metric drawings into inch-based parts with precision on the shop floor.

You will review blueprints, set tools and offsets, run prove-outs, and refine toolpaths with G-code and CAD/CAM tools such as Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Mastercam to achieve high-quality finishes and meet specifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years setting up and operating CNC lathes.
• Fluent converting metric prints to inch-based setups and code.
• Proficient with G-code and CAD/CAM.
• Strong ability to read mechanical drawings and understand tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CNC programs for Haas lathes and ensure first-piece quality.
• Set up tools, offsets and prove-outs; dial in production pieces.
• Tune feeds, speeds and offsets to optimize material use and finish.
• Measure work with calipers, micrometers, and gauges to spec.
• Document machine settings and maintenance to support repeatable runs.
