Job summary

Pro Resources Staffing Services in Walkerton, IN is seeking a driven CNC Set Up Operator to prepare, set up, and run CNC lathes and milling machines producing precision metal and plastic components. You will calibrate tooling, load programs, and monitor quality throughout each cycle.

Qualifications

Experience operating CNC machines (lathes and mills) with Fanuc controls preferred.
Strong knowledge of G-code and reading blueprints.
Ability to read GD&T and ensure tolerances.

Responsibilities

Set up CNC machining equipment including lathes and mills, with proper calibration and tooling installation.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and machining requirements.
Operate machines by loading and unloading parts, adjusting settings and monitoring processes.
Troubleshoot, adjust, and perform routine maintenance to optimize performance.
Verify finished parts conformance to specifications using measurement tools.
Maintain accurate documentation of setup procedures, production logs, and inspection reports.
Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the machining process.
