Job summary

JC Ford Company is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and lathes to produce precision metal parts according to blueprints and drawings. You will load G-code, select tooling, verify dimensions with micrometers and calipers, and perform routine machine maintenance while adhering to safety and quality standards.

This on-site role requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Able to read blueprints and interpret drawings.
• Familiar with G-code and CNC programming basics; FANUC, Haas, or Siemens experience a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong measurement and inspection skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills/lathes per drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Load and adjust G-code; optimize for accuracy.
• Install and align tooling and fixturing.
• Monitor production runs and address malfunctions.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, gauges.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep area clean.
• Complete production and inspection records; follow safety standards.
