Job summary

Niron Magnetics is seeking a Machinist II in Minneapolis, MN to program, set up, and operate CNC and manual machining equipment with HAAS controls. You will work with Engineering, Quality, and R&D to produce high-precision parts for prototype and production builds.

The role emphasizes reading drawings, inspecting with precision tools, and supporting safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, green tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• For applicants, read engineering drawings and follow work instructions.
• Experience operating manual and CNC machine tools is required.
• Ability to measure parts with precision instruments and document results.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual machines to fabricate magnets and assemblies.
• Interpret drawings and process docs; ensure dimensional conformance.
• Perform inspections with calipers, micrometers, and gauges; document data.
• Support tooling, fixturing, and process improvements with engineering.
• Follow safety, 5S, and quality procedures in a high-mix environment.
