Job summary

Fives Gidding & Lewis is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our Fond du Lac, Wisconsin team. You will set up, adjust and operate CNC machines to produce precision components to close tolerances.

You will read blueprints, apply GD&T knowledge, and use a variety of measuring instruments to verify parts. The role requires attention to detail, strong shop math, and the ability to work on diverse metals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience or machinist certificate/degree.
• Knowledge of machining methods, tooling and metals.
• GD&T and blueprint reading proficiency.
• Shop math ability.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to work to close tolerances on various metals.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC machines from operation sequences and load tools.
• Load, position, align and secure workpiece in the machine.
• Observe operation and edit offsets as needed.
• Read drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Use measuring instruments to check work.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
