Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing is seeking a CNC Machinist in Newport News, VA. This direct hire role offers 1st shift (7am-3:30pm) or 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm) Monday–Friday, with opportunities to work on government contracts and produce precision metal parts using CNC lathes and mills.

The candidate will read blueprints, edit G-code, and ensure tolerances to .0001". Minimum 2 years of CNC experience required, GD&T knowledge, and own tool set.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CNC machinist experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T.
• Able to read and edit G-code and operate CNC equipment.
• Must own a personal tool set and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow operating procedures and engineering instructions.
• Plan and prepare using blueprints or specifications to compute operations.
• Operate CNC cutting machines and precision measuring tools.
• Use lathes, milling machines, drills, and spindles to produce parts.
• Read and edit G-code.
