Job summary

Thecompany is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Brookfield, Connecticut. The role requires setup and programming of CNC mills, lathes, and mill-turn centers with tight tolerances on aerospace/defense parts.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance requires U.S. person status.
• Verifiable CNC setup and operation experience (not just operator).
• Blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency.
• Precision measurement with micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges.
• Demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program (MasterCAM, EZCAM, Inventor CAM) and run CNC mills, lathes, and mill-turn centers per drawings, PO, and schedule.
• Hold tight tolerances on aerospace/defense parts.
• Read and interpret drawings, GD&T, travelers, and setup sheets.
• Select tooling, establish work-holding/fixturing, and set offsets.
• Make program edits at the machine and flag issues to engineering.
• Perform in-process inspection and verify parts before moving to next operation.
• Run multiple machines to maximize spindle time; record data against the traveler.
• Train operators and help build setup documentation.
