Job summary

Brasstech, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator in Santa Ana to prepare and machine precision components. You will operate lathes (manual and CNC), milling machines, and grinders to produce parts to exact specifications and perform inspections.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of machine operator experience in a job shop, with proficiency in gauges, micrometers, calipers, and measurement tools, and a solid math foundation for accuracy and problem solving.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of machine operator experience.
Background in a job shop environment.
Knowledge of gauges and indicators to ensure proper machine operation.
Ability to perform measurements and inspections with precision instruments.
Understanding of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and related applications.
Ability to conduct tests and inspections to evaluate quality and performance.
Knowledge of machines and tools and their maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

Operate machines to produce precision parts per specifications using lathes, milling machines, or grinders.
Measure, inspect, and test completed units using micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges.
Monitor feed and speed of machines during machining processes.
Inspect equipment and materials to identify causes of errors or defects.
Perform routine maintenance and assist in basic maintenance planning.
