Job summary

Schultes Precision in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to set up and run single/dual turret lathes, inspect parts, and ensure conformance to blueprint specifications. The role requires reading drawings, GD&T knowledge, and strong attention to safety and precision in a manufacturing environment.

You will use precision gauges, make tooling offsets, and document production data while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints, GD&T understanding, and machining parameters.
• Ability to read calipers, micrometers, and other gauges.
• Experience with CNC lathe operations and tools.
• Maintain tight tolerances and high quality.
• Willingness to learn Sun Hydraulics systems (as per role)

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe machines (single/dual turret, live tooling) with bar feeders.
• Inspect parts using precision gauges and measurement tools.
• Deburr parts as needed during machining.
• Make tooling offsets under Fanuc controls.
• Identify and resolve tool wear and machining issues.
• Record production data and quality inspections.
• Follow safety protocols and keep workspace clean.
