Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking a production/shop professional in Ohio to set up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines, ensuring parts meet specifications. You will monitor dimensions with precision tools and complete quality documentation.

Responsibilities include assembling components, inspecting connections for fit, and building electrodes for Fast Hole EDM. A high school diploma and two years of shop experience are required, with strict adherence to safety rules.

Qualifications

Two years of experience in a production/shop position.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Ability to communicate work requirements, progress or completion both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines to ensure parts meet specifications and requirements.
Monitor part dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gauges, calipers, micrometers and height gauges to ensure conformity.
Complete paperwork documenting part quality.
Check paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options.
Assemble components by inspecting connections for correct fit and fastening parts and sub-assemblies per order.
Use precision measuring tools to verify parts dimensions.
Build electrodes for Fast Hole EDM.
